The album features a typically striking cast of collaborators including Arooj Aftab, Joy Crookes, Nilüfer Yanya, Ichiko Aoba, Nicole Miglis and Aanya Martin. Spanning recording sessions in Los Angeles, Tokyo and London, the album blends lyrics in English, Urdu and Japanese with historic Iranian samples, guzheng recordings and Green’s signature production. Much of the record was completed during a retreat to Broken Arrow Ranch.
