Overview

The F-35C Lightning II is the carrier-capable variant of the 5th Generation stealth fighter, designed specifically for the U.S. Navy. To withstand the rigours of carrier operations, it features a larger wing area, folding wingtips for deck storage, a strengthened undercarriage, a launch bar for catapult takeoffs, and an arrestor hook for landing. This gives the U.S. Navy's carrier fleet an unparalleled low-observability strike capability.

This Tamiya 1/48 scale kit is a highly accurate replica of this cutting-edge naval fighter. It boasts incredible features, most notably the option to interchange between folded and extended wingtips even after assembly. The kit can be built in one of three ordnance configurations (stealth, air-to-air, or "beast" mode) and includes a seated pilot figure, a detailed cockpit, and six marking options.
